Aurora Hospital (Grafton Wisconsin)
The new Aurora Hospital began construction in the fall of 2008. The project includes a 160,000 square foot building on a 40 acre site. The initial construction schedule was very aggressive and required a lot of horsepower to complete on time. We utilized mostly our own equipment, but hired scrapers for the mass hauling.

Amazingly, with the help of GPS, we moved over 100,000 cubic yards of dirt in three weeks without a single stake. Footing excavation was also crucial to keep the project on schedule. By utilizing the GPS systems on our excavators, we were able to excavate the entire building footprint without any layout. This system is especially helpful when digging deep footings because after excavation begins the layout marks are lost and need to be remarked. This job was an example of how we can perform on large projects just as well as the small projects.
